Southern Forests Chocolate Company makes its chocolate out in the Karri forest on the Vasse Highway, about ten minutes from Pemberton, working homegrown and local ingredients into truffles, bars and drinking chocolate. The forest setting and the backyard-and-neighbours sourcing are the point: chocolate tied to where it's made rather than shipped in. The shop is open seven days, which makes it an easy stop on a run through the Southern Forests.
